A man, described as a former member of the Defence Force who suffers from mental illness, was tasered by police after he jumped onto the bonnet of a marked police vehicle that responded to a report against him.
• The suspect, who lives at Embacadere in San Fernando, was accused of running amok in the area where he damaged vehicles and property. After he was tasered and detained by police, he was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital for treatment and later warded at the Psychiatric Ward at the Hospital.
