A man was stabbed during an altercation with a maxi driver at City Gate in Port-of-Spain on Saturday 29th April, 2023.
• At around 9 am, the red band maxi driver got into a heated argument with a male passenger, resulting in exchanging blows.
• The driver reportedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the passenger several times in the torso.
• Eyewitnesses raised an alarm and were able to dissolve the incident and contact the emergency health services.
• When they arrived at the scene, the man was taken to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital where he is currently warded in stable condition.
• The driver reportedly made a report at the Besson Street Police Station and was later taken to the hospital to treat minor injuries.
