A man was shot dead behind the Tunapuna market on Monday 31st July, 2023.
• The deceased was identified as 45-year-old Atiba Joseph of Mohammed Trace, Monte Grande, Tunapuna.
• At around 9:13 pm, Joseph was standing near the WASA compound at St. Augustine Circular with a group of persons when a man walked up to them.
• The man fired shots at Joseph who tried running away to escape his attacker.
• The suspect ran after Joseph, firing more shots at him before fleeing the scene.
• Joseph collapsed near the Tunapuna market where he died.
• The police were notified and investigations into the matter are ongoing.
