A man was shot dead at a bar in Kelly Village, Caroni on Sunday 9th July, 2023.
• The deceased was identified as 40-year-old Imran Khan, a painter of Rabindranath Street, Kelly Village, Caroni.
• Around 10:23pm, Khan was liming with friends at a bar along Kelly Village, when patrons heard several loud explosions.
• Upon investigation, they discovered Khan lying in a pool of blood suffering from multiple gunshot injuries.
• The police and emergency health services were notified but by the time they arrived, Khan had succumbed to his injuries.
• Crime scene investigators also visited the scene and recovered nine spent shell casings.
This was the third murder that occurred in the Caroni area for the month of July thus far.
On Wednesday 05th July, 2023, CEPEP worker Arshad Baal was gunned down in Ibis Gardens, Caroni.
