A man was shot and wounded outside a business place in Arima on Tuesday 05th September, 2023.
• Around 9:05pm, the 36-year-old was at the wholesale store on Broadway Street, Arima, when he began fighting with a masked man.
• During the scuffle, the suspect reportedly pulled out a firearm and shot the victim before fleeing the scene.
• Passersby subsequently contacted the police and officers of the Arima Police Station responded and discovered the victim bleeding from gunshot wounds to his back.
• He was taken to the hospital Arima District health facility where he received medical treatment.
• Officers of the Arima CID are continuing enquiries.
