A man was shot and killed two houses away from the Carenage Police Station on Sunday 05th February, 2023.
• The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Daryl Nickie also known as “Psycho” of Mt Pleasant, Carenage.
• Around 9:00pm, Nickie was liming along the western main road in Carenage in the company of two other men, when a heavily tinted silver wagon approached.
• The occupants of the vehicle lowered the front and back windows and opened fire, hitting Nickie several times about the body before fleeing the scene.
• The other men were able to escape unharmed, however, when they returned, they observed Nickie lying motionless on the ground, covered in gunshot injuries.
• Nickie was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting and homicide detectives recovered 21 rounds 5.56 spent shells and 12 rounds .40 caliber spent shells.
