A man was shot and killed in San Juan early on Monday 3rd June, 2024.
• The deceased was identified as Christopher Ashby of Bagatelle Road, San Juan.
• At around 4:30am, Residents of Bagatelle Road, heard a series of loud explosions and notified the police.
• PC Fory and a party of officers from the North Eastern Division Task Force responded and discovered Ashby bleeding from gunshot injuries.
• They subsequently conveyed him to Mt Hope Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
• Investigations are ongoing.
The last murder that was recorded in the San Juan area was on Tuesday 16th April, 2024, when the burnt, decapitated body of a Spanish-speaking businessman identified as 43-year-old Jose Carillo was found in an abandoned house in Sunshine Avenue.
