A man was shot and killed in Henry Street, Aranguez on Monday 24th July, 2023.
• The deceased was identified as 25-year-old Hasshim Ballantyne of Vegas, Second Caledonia, Morvant.
• Around 9:15 p.m., officers of the North Eastern Division Task Force received a report of a shooting on Henry Street, Aranguez.
• When they arrived at the scene, they discovered Ballantyne suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
• He was then taken to the Mt Hope Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
• Ballantyne was allegedly in the company of his daughter when he was ambushed and shot, luckily the child did not sustain any injuries.
This was the second murder that took place in the Aranguez area for the Month of July thus far.
On Monday 10th July, 2023, a man identified as Keston Alves who was an employee at the Threadz International Clothing store was gunned down at the establishment on Monday 10th July, 2023.
