A man was shot and killed at River Ville, Dibe Road in Long Circular, St James early on Monday 17th July, 2023.
• The deceased was identified as Shane Hill of River Ville, Dibe, St James.
• At about 7:00am, residents of the area heard a series of loud explosions.
• Upon investigating, they discovered Hill lying in a pool of blood nursing gunshot injuries.
• The police and emergency health services were notified, however, by the time they arrived at the scene, Hill had already succumbed to his injuries.
This is the second murder that took place in St James for the month of July thus far.
Just on Friday 14th July, 2023, Kyle Soo Ping Chow of Belle View Road, Long Circular, St James was shot and killed at Bombay Road in St James.
• The vehicle that is believed to be used in the murder of Chow was also found in Morvant later that day.
• Around 3:00pm. Officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force received information and went to Charpentier Street, Morvant.
• While there, they observed a black Toyota Yaris with a license plate registered PDC 5047 only at the rear.
• The vehicle was subsequently processed by Crime Scene Investigators and impounded pending further investigation.
