A man was shot and killed in Gasparillo on Thursday 22nd June, 2023.
• The deceased was identified as 25-year-old Brandon Mohammed of Butter Cup Lane, Harmony Hall, Gasparillo.
• Around 8:25pm, Mohammed was standing outside his home when he allegedly got into an argument with his sister over her recent behaviour of “sleeping out”.
• During the argument, the sister’s boyfriend arrived and intervene, during which he pulled out a firearm and fired gunshots at Mohammed, hitting him twice.
• Mohammed’s sister and her boyfriend then fled the scene and he was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The last murder that took place in the Gasparillo area was on Monday 10th April, 2023, when 35-year-old Glen Sutton of Marabella was knocked down by a vehicle driven by his friend during a brawl with Venezuelan nationals outside One Ten Bar near the Gasparillo Police Station.
