A man was gunned down while liming at a parlor in Laventille on Wednesday 29th March, 2023.
• The victim has been identified as 41-year-old Matthew Granger aka “Drifter” an employee at Carib Brewery as a loader who lived at Duke Street in Port-of-Spain.
• Around 5:30pm, Granger was liming at a parlor on Upper Laventille Road, near Blondell Alley in Laventille, when two (2) men approached.
• One of the suspects who was armed with a gun, shot Granger several times before they fled the scene.
• Residents heard the gunshots and subsequently contacted the police.
• Officers of the Port of Spain Division Task Force and crime scene investigators visited the scene with a district medical officer who declared Granger dead.
