A 20-year-old man was gunned down at Damarie Hill in Sangre Grande on Wednesday 15th March, 2023.
• The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Stephon Saroopsingh aka “Baboo” of Blake Avenue Extension, Sangre Grande.
• Around 8:10pm, Stephon was liming with friends in front of the house where 6-year-old Kylie Meloney was gunned down on January 8th, 2023, when two gunmen approached and opened fire on the group.
• Stephon was shot multiple times about the body and died at the scene of the shooting.
• Officers of the Sangre Grande police station as well as a district medical officer visited the scene and declared Stephon dead.
A motive is not yet known; however, officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region II are continuing enquiries
