• The deceased was identified as 45-year-old Gregory Gibbs of Bourg Mulatresse, San Juan.
• Around 9:35pm, officers responded to a report of loud explosions at Castle Avenue East, Greenvale, La Horquetta.
• When they arrived at the scene, they observed Gibbs lying motionless along the roadway bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds about the body.
• They were also informed that around 9:30, Gibbs was seated in his white Nissan Navara registered TCX 1239, when several loud explosions were heard.
• Gibbs subsequently exited his vehicle and attempted to run, when he collapsed a short distance away.
• The officers summoned a DMO to the scene who viewed the body, made their pronouncement and ordered it be removed from the scene.
• Enquiries are continuing.
The last murder that took place in the La Horquetta area was on Thursday 11th April, 2024, when Jahsun Gay aka “Brigo” of Samaroo Village, Arima was gunned down inside a vehicle in Phase 6, La Horquetta.
