A man identified by his Gerard Larry Davis aka Cheezy, was shot and killed at Kelly Village in Caroni near River Branch Road, on Sunday 11th September, 2022.
• Davis, a shopkeeper, died at the scene of the shooting. More than 30 spent 7.62 and 5.56 shells were found at the scene by Crime Scene Investigators.
• Around 7:30pm, officers of the Caroni Police Station responded to a report of several loud explosions in Kelly Village. Upon arriving, officers found the victim dead in front of his shop.
• Reports state that the occupants of a motor vehicle opened fire on Davis before fleeing the scene.
• As the getaway car drove away, it came into contact with another vehicle and the suspects are said to have also opened fire on that vehicle but no one was injured.
