A man identified as Samuel Noel aka Corn Flakes was gunned down in Piarco on Wednesday 5th June, 2024.
• Around 7am, residents of Oropune Circular heard a series of gunshots and went to investigate.
• Upon their investigation, they found Noel lying on the ground in a pool of blood; bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds.
• The police and emergency health services were notified, however, by the time they arrived at the scene, Noel had already succumbed to his wounds.
• The officers summoned a DMO to the scene who viewed the body, made their pronouncement and ordered its removal from the scene.
The last murder that took place in the Piarco area was on Wednesday 22nd May, 2024, when 26-year-old Cleavelan Mendez, a janitor of building 17 in Oropune Gardens was shot and killed near his home.
