A man identified as Nigel Walker was shot dead at his home in Behamie Lane, Belmont on Tuesday 28th June, 2023.
• Around 6:30pm, relatives were at home when they heard a series of explosions.
• Upon investigating, they discovered Walker’s body slumped over on a couch, bleeding from multiple gunshot injuries.
• They immediately contacted the police and a team of officers led by Asp Walker responded.
• Walker was pronounced dead at the scene and the responding officers are carrying out investigations.
This was the second murder that occurred in the Belmont area for the month of June thus far.
The last murder that occurred in the Belmont area was on Friday 09th June, 2023 when 47-year-old Raymond Weekes and his brother, 37-year-old Andy Weekes aka “Peppy” were gunned down in Davis Street, Belmont.
