• Around midday, 35-year-old lifeguard William Grisham of Las Cuevas, was swimming in the waters when he was struck by a pirogue at Maracas Bay.
• The victim was brought to shore and taken to the Port of Spain General Hospital for medica treatment. He remains warded in critical but stable condition after he sustained head injures and cuts about the body.
