65-year-old Moonan Hardeo of Caroni Savannah Road, Chaguanas, was shot dead by three bandits who invaded his home during the early hours on Tuesday 13th December.
Around 2:30am, Hardeo heard his dogs barking and got up to investigate. As he opened a door, he was accosted by a suspect and there was a struggle.
One of the bandits fired three shots, hitting Hardeo which resulted in him falling to the ground and eventually dying at the scene inside the kitchen located on the eastern side of the house.
The police and the EHS were contacted and officers went to the scene but by the time they arrived, Hardeo was already dead.
Police investigations are continuing into the latest killing.
