A drive-by shooting in Arouca left a teenage boy dead and a burger vendor injured on Monday 24th July, 2023.
• The deceased has been identified as 19-year-old Dillon Mohammed while the injured man was identified as Dylan Baptiste aka “Cornbread”.
• Around 9:10pm, Mohammed was standing near Baptiste’s burger cart along Hindustan Trace, when a white Nissan Tiida pulled up.
• The occupants of the vehicle fired multiple gunshots hitting both Mohammed and Baptiste, before fleeing the scene.
• A report was made to the police and the victims were taken to the hospital where Mohammed succumbed to his injuries.
This was the third murder that took place in the Arouca area for the month of July thus far.
Just on Sunday 23rd July, 2023, the body of a missing Guyanese accountant, 45-year-old Reagan Reece, was found in a shallow grave in windy hill, Arouca.
