“A clear and present danger” as a community is finally cut off because of continued land slippage in Siparia…
• From bad to worst and things could soon become disastrous for residents and commuters as land slippage continues at the corner of Skinner Trace and the S.S. Erin Road in Siparia.
• Parts of the roadway along Skinner Trace have been uprooted, as though a powerful earthquake struck the area which remains impassable.
• Because of the clear and present danger, T&TEC has relocated electrical overhead wires to the opposite side of the roadway after a pole became dislodged by the land slippage. The other utility company is yet to do the same
• Exactly one week ago our camera crew visited the area and we can safely say that things have gotten really bad as a large portion of the road has collapsed, as we predicted.
• Sooner or later the S.S. Erin Road near Skinner Trace would have to be closed and alternative routes (the Field Road through Fyzabad then to Siparia) would have to be used by persons seeking access to and from communities such as Santa Flora, Palo Seco, Rancho Quemado, Arena and Erin.
