A car was riddled with bullets in La Romain, leaving a man and a woman injured on Thursday 01st June, 2023.
• The victims were identified as 29-year-old Bernard Machand, of South Oropouche and 28-year-old Murrier Toney of La Brea.
• Around 10:30pm, both victims were in a silver Corolla NZE heading west along the Southern Main Road when a white Nissan AD Wagon slammed into their vehicle.
• One of the occupants of the wagon emerged and fired several shots at the Corolla before driving off.
• Bernard suffered injuries to his right forearm, while Murrier
sustained injuries to her upper back.
• Both victims were subsequently taken to the San Fernando General Hospital where they were treated and warded.
