A bandit armed with a fake firearm was shot dead after he attempted to rob a couple in San Fernando on Friday 14th October, 2022.
• The incident took place in the carpark at the South Park Mall near a nightclub, just after 11:00pm.
• The suspect, 20-year-old Jeremiah Joseph, reportedly approached the couple’s car and attempted to rob them, but was shot by one of the occupants who is the holder of a licensed firearm.
• the man ran off, dropping his imitation weapon in the parking lot as he attempted to escape through nearby bushes, but collapsed and died.
