A 44-year-old man who spent 12 months in prison for cultivating marijuana was gunned down outside a Chinese Restaurant at High Street, Siparia on Friday 9th September, 2022.
• The deceased has been identified as Curtis Hospedales aka “Hospe” of Spring Trace, Fyzabad Branch Road, Siparia.
• He died at the scene of the shooting.
• The incident happened opposite the Siparia Market next to Chill Out Restaurant and Lounge, and the deceased, we understand, usually limes in the area with an illegal gun in the waist of his pants.
• In 2020, Hospedales pleaded guilty before a Siparia Magistrate on charges of marijuana cultivation. He was slapped with a $15,000 fine or 12 months jail term.
