A 26-year-old man, described as a drug addict, of Enterprise Main Road, Chaguanas, was shot and killed at Crown Trace on the night of Friday 28th October, 2022.
• Roger Charles, a father of two, was shot once in the head and his killing has not been linked to recent gang violence in the community.
• Around 7:45pm, officers of the Central Division Task Force responded to a report about a shooting in progress at Crown Trace.
• When they arrived, officers found Charles, who was recently released from prison on a larceny charge, lying in a track off Crown Trace with a single bullet wound to the head.
• Insp. John, Sgt Ramroop and PC Ramsoobag of the Region 3 Homicide Bureau of Investigations along with officers from the Central Division Task Force, Operations Unit, and CID, visited the scene.
