A 19-year-old man who was featured in a cell phone video issuing threats to another person with a firearm was shot and killed by police at a house at Councilman Gardens, Upper 6th Avenue, Malick, Barataria on Saturday 31st December, 2022.
The deceased has been identified as Kariq Cox aka “Smalls” who was subsequently declared dead by doctors at the Mt. Hope Hospital after he was shot during a confrontation with officers of the North Eastern Division Task Force.
