A 17-year-old teenager was detained in connection with the stabbing death of one man and the wounding of another at the Marabella Recreation Grounds at Battoo Avenue, Marabella on Saturday 10th December, 2022.
• Around 7:15pm, officers of the Southern Division ERP responded to a report about a stabbing at the facility via the Police Command Centre.
• Upon arrival they were informed that 22-year-old Tyrone Howe, a CEPEP labourer of Kitchener, St. Battoo Avenue and 22-year-old Nikel Rawlins were stabbed and taken to the hospital.
• Howe succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at the hospital around 7:20pm, while Rawlins is said to be critical at the hospital.
