A 14-year-old schoolboy was gunned down outside his Movant home in an incident his relatives believe may have been linked to a killing of a male relative of his name was called in, within the Morvant district.
• The dead boy has been identified as 14-year-old Marlon Stewart, of upper Romain Lands, Morvant.
• Stewart had passed for the Morvant/Laventille Secondary School but his grandparents, who looked after him as their own child, did not have enough money to buy his school clothes and books and were hoping to have him start school in January.
• Around 8:15pm, Stewart was liming outside his home with a group of men when three (3) men clad in black clothing approached.
• The suspects who came through a track opened fire on the group of men who fled the scene.
• Moments later, Stewart was found lying motionless by a female relative.
• reportedly, Stewart was killed after the gunmen could not get to his older brother.
• Stewart’s grandparents Lilyann Stewart and Alphaus Bruce, were trying to come to terms with the teen’s murder during an interview with our camera crew at their home earlier today.
