A taxi driver was shot dead in Valencia on Tuesday 9th May, 2023.
• The deceased was identified as 50-year-old Stephon Marshall of Mt Pleasant Road, Arima.
• At around 8:30 pm, officers responded to reports of a wounded man at La Platta Circular, KP Lands, Valencia.
• Upon their arrival, officers found Marshall lying motionless on the roadway with multiple gunshot injuries.
• His body was removed from the scene and conveyed to the forensic science centre, pending a post-mortem.
• Police identified the probable cause of his death as a robbery and are continuing further investigation.
