26-year-old Roger Charles, a father of two (2) who was described as a drug addict, of Enterprise Main Road, Chaguanas, was shot and killed at Crown Trace on Friday 28th October, 2022.
• Around 7:45pm, officers of the Central Division Task Force responded to a report about a shooting in progress at Crown Street.
• When they arrived, officers found Charles, who was recently released from prison on a larceny charge, lying in a track off Crown Trace with a single bullet wound to the head.
• Insp. Jones, Sgt Ramroop, and PC Ramsoobag of the Region 3 Homicide Bureau of Investigations along with officers from the Central Division Task Force, Operations Unit, and CID, visited the scene.
• Reportedly, Charles’ killing was not linked to recent gang violence in the community.
